Terms & Conditions

This document is written to cover the standard bases for an app like RepQuest (fitness tracking, AI-generated content, ads, and optional social features). It is not a substitute for legal advice from a licensed attorney, and the governing-law section below is intentionally left as a placeholder pending that review.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using RepQuest ("the App"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

2. Eligibility

RepQuest is intended for a general audience. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use social features (Fellowship). If you are under the age required by your country's laws to consent to data processing without parental permission, please don't use RepQuest, or use it only with a parent/guardian's involvement and consent.

3. Not Medical Advice — Important Safety Disclaimer

RepQuest is a fitness-tracking and motivation app, not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical or fitness advice. Nothing in the App — including AI-generated quests, training suggestions, or narrative content — is personalized medical, dietary, or exercise advice tailored to your individual health situation.

• Always consult a physician before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have any existing health condition, injury, or concern.
• The App's XP, calorie, and effort estimates are approximations for gameplay purposes, not clinically validated measurements.
• Stop exercising and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or any concerning symptom.
• You use RepQuest and act on any suggestion in it entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any injury, health issue, or other harm arising from your use of the App or from following any suggestion it provides.

4. Account & Data

• RepQuest creates an anonymous account automatically on first use. You may optionally link Sign in with Apple or Google to sync progress across devices.
• You're responsible for keeping any device you're signed in on secure.
• You can delete your account and all associated data at any time via Profile → Delete My Data. This is permanent and cannot be undone.

5. Health Data

RepQuest reads (but never writes to) Apple HealthKit or Google Health Connect data you've authorized, strictly to power in-app features (XP calculation, quest generation, activity stats). This data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for ad targeting. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy and the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy section within it.

6. AI-Generated Content

Quests, weekly recaps, and training suggestions in RepQuest are generated by an AI model based on the workout data you provide. AI-generated content:

• Is written for entertainment and light motivational value, not as professional advice (see Section 3).
• May occasionally be unavailable, in which case the App shows a computed, non-AI fallback instead.
• Reflects only the data you've entered or synced — the AI does not have access to information outside the App.

7. Fellowship (Social Features)

If you join or create a Fellowship, other members can see a summary of your recent workout activity (e.g., "logged a 30-minute run"). You control who's in your Fellowship. Don't use Fellowship to harass, bully, or share others' information without consent. We may remove access to Fellowship features for anyone who misuses them. 8. Advertising

RepQuest displays ads (via Google AdMob) to support the free version of the App. All ad requests are non-personalized — RepQuest never uses your Advertising ID or cross-app/cross-site tracking to target ads, and health data is never used as a targeting signal, so no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown (there is nothing to opt into). See the Privacy Policy for more detail; if that ever changes, we'd seek fresh permission first via Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

9. Purchases (RepQuest+)

RepQuest+ is currently a "coming soon" preview with no functioning purchase available. If and when a real purchase flow launches, it will go through Apple's In-App Purchase or Google Play Billing as required by each platform, and these Terms will be updated with specific pricing, billing, and cancellation details at that time.

10. Intellectual Property

RepQuest's design, code, artwork, and the specific wording of AI-generated quest templates are owned by RepQuest's operator. You retain ownership of any content you personally enter (like a custom weekly training plan you type in), and you grant us a license to store and process it solely to operate the App's features for you.

11. Third-Party Services

RepQuest relies on third-party services to function, including Apple HealthKit, Google Health Connect, Supabase (backend/database), Cloudflare (AI request handling), OpenAI (AI-generated content), and Google AdMob (advertising). We aren't responsible for outages, data handling practices, or changes to these services beyond what's described in our own Privacy Policy — each has its own terms and privacy practices.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

RepQuest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited (e.g., liability for gross negligence, where applicable law prohibits such limitation).

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to RepQuest if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the App evolves (e.g., when RepQuest+ purchases launch). We'll note the "Last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing Law & Contact

Governing law and jurisdiction are being finalized ahead of a full public launch, alongside a legal review of dispute-resolution terms — this section will be completed before that launch, not left as a placeholder in production.
